Though the New England Aster is a very simple looking plant, with hairy stems and small blooms, it can be a very pretty border flower within gardens—particularly in the various gardens that are kept by people with little time to care for them. The white, pink, and purple flowers are attractive and easy to grow, and tolerate nearly any climate or region. They require full sunlight, however, and should not be grown in the shade.
